COLÈCHI KNITWEAR WASTE RESEARCH RESIDENCY 2026
COLLECTIVE STUDY 02: reiterate
We’re launching a funded research residency for creatives interested in investigating yarn and knitwear waste. The project invites three residents to explore the lifecycle of yarn and knitwear products from production to end of life to help us better understand how waste moves through the system. The theme is open ended but should focus on knitwear and yarn waste.

the next generation of designers and growers: ykwu east
Design is changing and we work directly with universities and in the community through our knitting and craft club YKWU (You can Knit With Us). In 2024, we launched YKWU East in collaboration with Westfield and Foundation for Future London to connect a cohort of 20 emerging designers to the production of fashion through a series of industry talks and trips. Each group produced a garment using UK alpaca fibre, grown, processed, spun and knitted locally, at a farm in Somerset. Showcased at the Clean Fashion Summit at the iconic Somerset House, London.
